In this bottle is a blend of 3 sugarcane distillates from 3 different islands:
5yr Barbados - Pot and Column Blend (Foursquare)
5yr Dominican Republic - Column (San Pedro de Macoris/Barcelo)
Unaged Martinique AOC Agricole - Column (La Favorite)

Ratios are not published.

This combination of Rum, Ron, and Rhum combine in a peculiar way. I find the Agricole spirit to be lost in the blend, only announcing itself in the finish with a slight vegetal bitterness. The blend seems to be dominated by the Dominican product and its buttery warmth, but only in the mid-palate. The nose, initial taste, and finish are all ethanol. I'm getting a bit of Bajan character somewhere but it is difficult to pick out.

Overall, I think if they were trying to create a (and I hate this term) "sipping rum", they should have sprung for stock with some more age. I feel I'm left with an under-aged spirit that is confused about its identity. Mixed, I see more potential, as one of the founding principles of Tiki is the blending of rums from different regions. I'll certainly use this rum in cocktails, and it's promise in that role saves it somewhat.

Vanilla on the nose, smooth vanilla on the taste with a hint of cinnamon, light toffee bourbon burn finish. Really impressed with this find
