Struggled to drink this - super pineapple flavour that tasted like a very synthetic concentrate had been added as an after thought
Again another classic ruined by a fruity taste not a fan at all
Too sweet cna just about drink it with lots of coke and ice
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Neat, I donβt like this. For me there is no sweetness at all, just far too much alcohol burn. However, mixed with Coca-Cola this rum morphs into something much more mellow and sugary. With coke, yes it did improve the rum, because the pineapple finally comes through, making this drink sweeter. Nevertheless, I found that even when mixed with Coca-Cola there was still a weird unpleasant aftertaste. So I tried Rubicon Fizzy Mango as a mixer, because I discovered that mango and pineapple are meant to go well together. And yes bingo. Using Rubicon as a mixer instead of Coca-Cola, this rum becomes deliciously fruity and sweet, and more importantly, the jarring aftertaste disappears.
