Limitovaná edícia od English Harbour s vysokým obsahom Congenerov. Vôňa príjemná ovocná s medom a korením v pozadí. Chuť najprv sladká, na jazyku pôsobí husto - olejovito. Taktiež cítim ovocie, drevo a korenie. 63,8% alkoholu sa naplo prejavilo až pri prehltnutí, kedy poriadne zahreje. Naozaj silný a veľmi chutný rum. Bohužial už je vypredaný. :(
English harbour is not my favorite rum.
I know that many people like these bottlings. But I think the rum often has metallic aromas and some bitter substances from a column distillation. In addition, the rums are bottled too young in my opinion, with a longer aging they would be on a higher level.
Nose: Sweet nose with caramel, bourbon wood (vanilla), a lot of dry fruits (raisins, peach) and cinnamon. It's also a little bit flowery. Some metallic aromas are in the background, it indicates that it's a column still distillation. It's quite sharp, I can't stick my nose too deep in the glas. A hint of barrel aromas is also there (orange zests). Good nose, very sweet and almost too sharp.
Taste: Sweet start with caramel, dry fruits and metallic aromas (this is the weak point). The rum is sharp, the sharpness increases towards the middle and releases some tannins. I get more white oak and vanilla from the bourbon caks. It tingels in the mouth and continue sweet with many dry fruits and some bitter tannins. The finish is sharp, bourbon wood, vanilla, dry fruits (peach, raisins), some bitter tannins.
Aftertaste: dry fruits, bourbon wood, cinnamon
This rum has good aromas, it reminds me of the RA Belize rum. It has some weaknesses. It's too sharp and the metallic aromas with bitter substances are too present on the palette.
Column copper savalle still destillation means the most of the heavy aromas are killed. With some more aging this could became a very good rum.

Strong and fruity on nose as you may expect. Honey, vanilla and grass notes. Taste is complex caramel, fruit, vanilla and wood. The rum is quite spicy and I recommend it on rocks(ice) as it calms it down. Then it becomes more accessible. The finish is again fruity and woody. One of great ones and big surprise from English Harbour. Get one if you can.
