The nose is not very intensive first and bright. After 30min the anise became very intensive. I get also a buttery note, it's unusual.
The nose starts with butter, anise, flowers, prune and it seems to be spicy. There is a sour note like pickled pickles. Not very spicy and a little bit too shy overall.
The taste starts with butter and anise. Unusual and the combination is not enjoyable for me. Then I get some flowery notes and the rum turns spicy. The anise is typical Clarendon, but the buttery note is not that good.
In the middle I get butter, anise, flowers and spice at the end.
The finish is also spicy with anise, butter and melon.
The aftertaste is very good, with anise, orange zest. There is not buttery note that distrubs me.
I would rate this one with 67 points.
