El Salvador | Flavored | 40.5% ABV
The newest edition to Ron Colón Salvadoreño’s rum portfolio. This is a lighter edition of Ron Colón Salvadoreño’s coffee infused rum, but intended to be a richer coffee experience. The rum is made with a base of 6-year-old column-distilled rum sourced from Licorera Cihuatán distillery in El Salvador. Small additions of unaged Jamaican rums sourced from Worthy Park, Hampden and Monymusk, as well 3-year-old rum from Worthy Park estate are added to bring a rich flavour experience. The 81-proof coffee infused expression is made with the addition of whole bourbon coffee beans sourced from Jags Head Coffee in El Salvador. The infusion is made in a cold brew style; the beans are blended with the rum for 48 hours, imparting a rich chocolate, cherry fruitiness into the spirit, creating a balance between the coffee and rum.

Espresso infused dus aparte smaak. Ook wat zouterig maar verrassend dus
Wow, this was an experience. Nice funky tunes blended with earthy coffee.
Mix with tonic and win the party. Easy.
I'm crazy for the RCS high proofs, but I must admit the price of the Ron Colón 81 proof and its flavour are hard to beat. The Brand Ambassador recommended a serve with tonic and citrus zest -and I was quite appalled at the thought mixing tonic with my Rum- but IT WORKS! We will start serving it at the bar I work at.
Such a fantastic marriage of 2 of the things I love Rum and Coffee ... whomever made this recipe should receive an award.
Delicate toasted coffee beans and milk chocolate. The natural process of the beans showcases the fruit forward flavours in the beans and balances with the sticky pineapple and fresh banana notes in the rum.
It doesn’t taste like it’s over proof, so that’s a nice plus. Packs a punch of citrus and mango along with modest esters and a naturally rum-sweet finish. Not quite mellow enough to sip more than a small amount, and personally I find it difficult to mix anything with esters, so this one is a bit in no-man’s land for me. I can see some folks liking it; certainly not bad, and unique enough to try once.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Overall not a bad rum but the coffee taste can be overpowering to some.
