Strong after taste. For a second, it tastes great, after you swallow
Coming from Denmark I always make a stop-over in Flensburg when I travel to South-Europe. This time I found this Flensburg Rum Company Rum in my favourit shop called "Citti". Since I love some rums from Flensburg, I wanted to give this Flensburg Barbados & Jamaica 5-Year. Unfortunately, it is very dissapointing. High alcoholic taste and almost no hint of Barbados rum but a high concentrate of Jamaican high ester taste. I know that tastes are always different. So, maybe some other poeople might like this rum. But for me it is not worth the money.
On the nose: tropical fruits, pineapple, baked bananas, subtle oak, some spices, alcohol comes through, sugar, hint of rubber / wood glue.
On the palate: tropical fruits, gum, artificial sweetness, spices.
In the finish: artificial sweetness, spices, some tropical fruits and rubber, some bitterness remains.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

To me that's a typical Barbados rum. Some fruits, vanilla sweetness and a bit of wood. Nothing special but totally ok for an evening sipper.
