Intensive nose, these 14y Diamonds are really good.
I get honey, ripe fruits like papaya, melon, prune, The flavours are bright, a little bit sweet and fruits.
There is a sour note and deeper in the glas there is a vegetable aroma (tomatoes).
In the background is some oak with grasy notes.
I like honey with the bright fruits, the oak is not very present. It has more influence from the continental aging. I like the balance, even it's a little bit spicy in the nose.
Spicy start, the alcohol is tingeling on my thongue. The first flavours are bright, honey and fruits.
It's not very sweet, clearly continental aging. But the fruits are salty, melon, prune and some bitter notes of tannins, but almost no oak.
The middle is also spicy but sweeter. I have again tannins, honey (more intensive now), prune and a slightly buttery note.
The finish is spicy, I get some malt, prune and a butttery note.
The alcohol is a little bit too present. But the aromas are nice and the combination is not bad.
I would rate it with 87 point.
