Promosso.
A rum which given its 13 years in a barrel is surprisingly light, fresh and fruity. Stone fruits leading to an orangery end exist alongside a cinnamon zing. At £44 retail, we think this rum gives a pleasant tipple to consume and the 50.5% heat isn't present - very enjoyable. Between us we rate it 7 to 8, so 7 it is.
Rating: 7/10
Smell - buttery, sweet spice, apricot
Taste - cinnamon spice, oily, stone fruit
After Taste - medium length, orange throughout with spiciness, slightly woody
Nice aroma of oak and honey. First taste is a bit sweeter and less complex as you would expect from 13y but very smooth for 50%. On palate is again oak and honey. Aftertaste could by longer but for the price (approx 40Eur in Czech Republic) it is fair offer.
Easy drinking , though far from excellence
Nose: honey, brandy, almonds, spirits
Taste: medium bodied aftertaste, surprisingly smooth despite 50.5*
Very sweet; caramel?
not bad, similar to matusalem
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Opened up a bottle from one of my favorite Latin styled rum brands.
It’s hard to say if it’s different from batch one. To sort that out I should have needed a bottle of that one too.
Anyway it’s a great rum, I’m not disappointed in any way.
I detect dried fruit, vanilla, toffee, pepper, cinnamon, and hints of chilli and tobacco.
Then it of course is quite sweet as most Latin styled rum, but the quite high ABV at 50,5% balances that in a good way.
