I never had a single cask Haiti rum before, so I hope to get some new flavors.
First I get some white oak with earth in the nose. The flavors are very bright, I get also some prune. No surprises for now, lets see further. I mention some paper and honey that reminds me of Guyana rum (that's nice).
After that I get some herbs and vegetal notes. It's good, typical Panama rum.
The taste is quite tasty but without any surprises. It starts with sweet sugar cane, honey and citrus.
In the middle the sugar cane turns into honey. There are also some tannins and the wood.
The finish is almost the same.
A good rum, but without any surprices. It's tasty and goot, but not very complex. I think a rating of 84 would be appropriate.
