It didn’t smell good and sure didn’t taste good, worse than cheap Bacardi. I have 35 years experience as a connoisseur of hard liquors. Please spare yourself of the torture of bad hooch. Diplomático white is good IMO
I find this to be a good white. Hints of a rhum agricole blend, but not overbearing earthy taste to it like rhum agricoles taste to me. Definitely has a unique taste
Very herbal and lemongrassy nose at first, opening up to add some light vanilla notes. Loved the scent. Light and bright on tongue with a zest as the 90 proof hits the mouth on the way down. Although not a straight sipper because of this, it will add some great dimensions to cocktails and I plan to look out for it.
This stuff is really good. Lots of character here to work with. I like a cleaner, less funky spanish style column still rum mixed in to control the flavors for something as delicate as a daiquiri.
A very bright white rum with lots of aromas and character. Great for all manner of other tropical drinks.
This blend of unaged rum is excellent with lots of tropical fruit and floral notes with some banana in there. It's an excellent rum for cocktails, though maybe less of something I'd reach for for sipping. At its price point, it's not something I'd use often, but it's something I'd like to keep in my cabinet.
Buttery, floral, a real standout in a daiquiri. This rum takes my cocktails with white rum to a higher level. I will always try to have this in my cabinet although it is difficult to find locally.
Distinctive flavor for a white rum. A complex blend of flavors with a bit of this and that. Some funk, a little sweetness, and a modest alcohol bite. It mixes with ginger beer and lime amazingly well. I expect this rum would work equally well in a daiquiri or Cuba libra. There’s more to this rum than meets the eye.
Clear rum. Went down easy. Quite sweet. Very good rum but pales in comparison to the dark rum they make

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I only use it as a mixer but I love it. Blends well, has some character but doesn't stand out. So it plays well with other ingredients and flavor profiles.
