There are several versions of this floating around; none of them are easy to find and nor are they cheap. I absolutely loved a "Renegade Flight" at NOPA in San Francsco and tracked down a stray bottle of the '90 Guyana Renegade at Beltramos down in Menlo Park for about $110 USD. This one is finished in Madeira casks and brings a truly strange, tanin-heavy grapey finish to the glass. This is the only bottle of rum in my collection I don't actively"like" but I always include it in a tasting flight because it's such an odd specimen and demonstrates the potential for creative casking techniques. The Renegade line is known for an artisanal approach that has produced some remarkable achievements (and turkeys) so potential customers without bottomless pockets would do well to do some tastings and pursue a specific bottle they become fond of. Being of modest means, I would be gunshy to grab another bottle blindly, like I did the first time. But, they clearly care about what they're doing so true rum afficionados will certainly want at least one Renegade bottle on their shelf.
