United States | Light | 40% ABV

Bacardi Superior Rum is the original Bacardi rum, dating back to 1862 when Don Facundo Bacardi Massó purchased his first rum distillery in Cuba. 150 years later, Bacardi Superior is now manufactured in Puerto Rico, but the recipe remains largely the same.

A unique strain of yeast discovered in the Cuban sugarcane fields is used to produce Bacardi Superior rum. The rum is filtered through charcoal, a process pioneered by Bacardi, before and after it is aged in oak barrels for at least one year.

Niestety -lepiej napić się dobrej wódki. Ten akurat nie ma nic do zaoferowania -ani smaku ani czegokolwiek innego. W drinkach wchodzi Ale w drinkach wchodzi nawet Stolichnaya.

Although I've gotten somewhat used to the burning sensation and distinct vodka-esque gasoline taste in rum and cokes everywhere that better rums are simply unavailable, I have to place this one at the very bottom of my list. It's like a bad lover that you keep going back to because there just isn't anyone else around- better than nothing, familiar, but it leaves a bad aftertaste. Gold is only marginally better.

Barely drinkable - do not recommend it, even for cocktails...

Not sure why this is the one rum you can get anywhere. But there is always a 1.75 on the shelf for that guest that wouldn’t know Bacardi from Myers Legend. Good for a bowl of rum punch at the BBQ.

Not bad for a mixer or cocktail and no other choice around fairly expensive for the hype

It does the job for a basic rum and cola. Cheap and tastes fine. The ice and cola mellow the bite and let a subtle vanilla flavor through.

This is a perfectly fine mixable rum. The rum of my youth. The rum of Bon Jovi's never say goodby in the back of my station wagon trying a one handed bra unhook. Its going to taste like your mixer plus booze. McDonalds shamrock shake plus Bacardi = drunk date and stained prom dress. No spices, no fruit infused orange flavors. The Rum for people who "don't need nothing, but a good time" and wanna "rock and roll all night, and party every day". I have had some bad liquor in my college years and bacardi is a treat compared to those. its a 1-10 scale for a reason folks. Backyard get together, no one will fault you for serving this.

The nightmare that some liquors confer just looking at them. And if a smell were to loft, you better hold onto your gag reflex, because the hungover midterm is rushing all right back.

Smooth, minimal aroma, aftertaste subtle sweet with a little burn. This is a decent mixer, no complaints. Sure you can find more elaborate white runs, but this is consistent

This rum won't dissapoint, won't make you too happy, it is just average and okey. Sadly, being average actually might be good enough, especially given the price, and to be fair, I am fine with this in a cocktail or a basic mixed drink like rum and coke. I however totally preffer Havana Club for the mixing, even made two daiquiris each containing a different rum and just like the havana one more, and since the price is about the same, this just doesn't get too much attention from me.
