Searching for rums
Hi,
Im searching for rums in dry / little bit sweet field with strong plum / raisins taste with strong oak finish. Ideally with increased strength (50-60 ABV).
I would be gratefull for any suggestions.
Sure you want a strong oak finish? It sounds to me like Appleton 21 is the right rum for you (but it will not have plums). Otherwise long aged REV, "Rum Artesanal Guyana Rum Enmore REV 1994" if you want the plums. Strong oak finish: Appleton 94, 95, 99.
Depends on what we consider strong. Lets say it should be recognisable on first sipp. I discovered that I like oak flavor combined with another layers.
Santiago de Cuba 12 have strong plum note but it s only 40% ABV and is clean (no sugar added)
