Rum fav bottle shape
Does anyone else have a favourite bottle to decant into? I like the shape, weight and feel of the Bacardi 8 bottle and have kept decanting my new rums into it..
I usually keep the rums in the original bottle but when I make cocktails to go I use old rum bottles. Screwed caps are more practical than corks so my choice is limited. I think I reused the bottles of Kraken and Appleton 12yo rare blend for this purpose at least several times.
I always keep my rums in their original bottle until finished, but without question the bottles from Admiral Rodney HMS Princessa are perfect for storing pre-mixed cocktails that are not carbonated. They are perfectly square at the bottom and short in height, so they fit very well in my fridge. The mouth is wide and drip resistant with a real cork, so it is easy to pour from these. No other bottle even comes close.
