I need some help with dark rum

Hello guys, how are you? so, I need some help, I need a dark rum, but I don't know much about rum... I gonna make a tiramisu but I gonna drink this rum later, so I want one that is not so expensive but really good, with smoked notes (I don't know if I write this right, but take easy on me guys hahaha) I was taking a look on Havana Club 7 years and Bacardi 8 years, I saw The Kraken too, but what I saw here, he wasn't too good like the other ones, what do you recommend?

slliway: You did your research right in choosing Havana Club 7 or Bacardi 8. Leave the Kraken on the shelf! However, I would like to add El Dorado 8 Year to the top of your list. It should be available in Brazil, but I have no idea as to what you can get over there. Avua Amburana Cachaca should be available and it has cinnamon notes due to the unique wood ageing.

Navy rum is the dark one. Try the Pussers Blue lable or the Gunpowder if you are used to high proof alcohol.

Tiramisu is a sweet dessert and I don't want to make it any sweeter. I usually use Dictador rums, they are also nice to drink neat. Coffee taste is one of their main tastes so it suits this dessert nicely.

A Real McCoy 5 year might be interesting. It has some smokey notes that would work well with the coffee and if you are used to drinking whiskey, not rum, it may be something you can enjoy once it goes in the tiramisu. I was going to say El Dorado 5 Year also so I will wholeheartedly support the first responder who said El Dorado 8. El Dorado 8 is more drinkable than the Real McCoy 5, too.

I recommend buying a solid overproof like Wood's Navy Rum, or Pusser's Gunpowder and cook with that, you need less due to the concentrated flavor and aroma, and it provides plenty of that "rummy" punch.
